As great and Melody and Blair were to work with on their wedding day, that was my first and last wedding. Weddings are a whole other category in the photography world - one that I don't plan on entering. I simply don't have the proper equipment for the venue and weddings take a disproportionate amount of time to shoot and edit. Having said that, I couldn't resist putting up a few of their photographs to share with you all.
This last shot is one that I took with their Thank You cards in mind. A little foam core, a little photo editing and voila ~ custom thank you cards!

Prop testers :)
I found a great new prop for photographing newborns but before I could get a nice soft blanket in the bottom to see how it would work....this happened.
Apparently I should have bought 3 of these baskets - one for babies, one for Callie and one for Sebastian. I'm guessing it passed the test considering you kitties won't get out of it!

Session Information
Style
I'm not sure I can clearly define my style of photography in just a few words. Hopefully the images on this blog will illustrate best. It's not camera-ready smiles with picture-perfect hair that I'm looking to capture. It's more the essence of you. Your individuality. Whether that be a silly grin or a more serious look. A relaxed demeanor or a high energy attitude. Just be you.
Locations
I have 3 types of location shoots - beach, country and urban.
The Beach Session not only includes those at the shore but also images taken from around the tiny resort village of Port Stanley.
The Country Session takes us to fields of sunflowers, wheat, wildflowers... Rustic barns and the great outdoors add character to these photographs.
The Urban Session has an edgy feel to it. You'll be amidst the hustle and bustle of the city. A sidewalk cafe, a deserted back alley, a wall of graffitti - all fair game for this session.
During the week I work out of the London area and most weekends I'm in Port Stanley with close proximity to St. Thomas.
We can also hold the shoot at a location of your choice. We'll discuss the details at the time of your session booking.
Details
Time: Your session will last between 1 - 2 hours. The best natural light is early morning and late afternoon so we'll try to schedule your appointment accordingly.
Place: If the location of your choice is more than 25 kilometres from London, St. Thomas or Port Stanley - there will be a reasonable mileage fee charged.
Session Fee: The fee covers my time and talent and includes up to a family of 4. There is an additional charge for each extra person. The session fee is due at the time of our session.
Proofs: You'll be shown a minimum of 25 photographs in an online gallery that will be available within 2 weeks of your session. They will remain online for a period of 2 weeks. Feel free to share the link with family and friends to put together your print order. Once your online gallery comes down there will be a charge to have the photos put up again.
Newborns: In order to capture the true essence of a newborn please schedule this session within the first 2 weeks of life.
Clothing: Clothing should be comfortable pieces that reflect your personality. Having said that though - no large logos or images on clothing please. We want your photographs to be timeless and those things can date a picture.

Whew, that's a lot of information! I think I've covered everything....if not, email me (address is on the right under my About Me blurb) and we'll get the rest sorted. Ok now ~ let's get to the fun part ~ the pictures!
